How To Predict Your Predictions

This is from a favorite chapter of mine. You Just Can’t Predict. I’ll post it in straight text when I feel motivated enough to convert my PDF to Word. Probably very soon. There are just too many good lines to pass up.

I’ve got some heavy-duty work on oil I want to post soon, but I needed to service my ADD. By an act of fate, I landed on page 171 tonight. I’ve been thinking about this passage for the last year and haven’t been able to figure out why I can’t find it. Certainly the Gods smiled upon me today.

For now, If you double click on each page it should blow it up much bigger so you don’t go blind.

I’m noticing from this experience/experiment that Taleb writes in very manageable (approximately)1000-word pieces (or less). He’s got a built-in anti-ramble machine. Very Nice.
