Don’t try to make sense of it, Bunn. You’ll just show them you are human.
This is the Black Swan F1 needed. I love it and I praise New God Branson.
Just keep your head up. If you don’t, I will, after they cut it off.

Well that was different, huh?
I found it online and watched the first 35 laps, but could not keep my eyes open after that. I went to bed confident Kubica would be in the mix by end of race. But oh well.
Barrichello is lucky he didn’t also get relegated for his behavior in the first turn after his fucking up the start. Kovi paid the price. Too bad Kubica couldn’t be there in the end to return the favor to Barrichello. If Vettel would have got out of the god damned way Kubica might have been there at the end. Did you see Vettel is being handed a 10-place grid penalty for the next race, plus $50K fine for driving around the track with a wheel hanging off?
Hamilton’s driving was impressive.

Vettel vs. Kubica

Yeah Bif, as to V’s decision to continue driving with the one front tire flopping around, I don’t know what the rules are on that, but it had to be illegal. If not outrageously hazardous, should the wheel decouple and slam into another driver, the behavior certainly smacked of the imprudent. I probably would have done the same thing, though, so close to the end of the race. Whatever. Let the appeals process, if applicable, run its course — and, more importantly, start reconfiguring for the next race. As one of the announcers quipped, if I may paraphrase, “At least we now know that a Red Bull can run on three legs.”

Of course the real fucking hilarious and truly black swannish aspect of all this is Richard Branson even being a part of it, what with him (but only a few years ago) getting all agitated and impassioned about climate change, PO, alt-E, etc. Once he realized people weren’t going to back alt-E unless there’s money to be made, which he knew all along, really, all the other noble motives quietly slip into the background. Being behind a successful F1 team probably was always something that he wanted to do anyway, one more thing to tick off the bucket list or some such bullocks. Don’t worry, JR, I’m not in the business of trying to make sense of any of this. As soon as I figure out how to cash in on change we can believe in, I’ll let you know.

are you kidding me?

I am not sure where to comment but since “Brawn” seems like Beer Muscles to me, I guess, I’m home!
I just had the most fantastic vacation ever. We cruised out of NYC to Florida and the Bahamas and let me tell you, I’m unsure of which superlative I should use to describe what a good time we had. (caveat: my liver is probably in severe distress right now)
Bif, it’s a great vacation, even with the kids. I suggest you look into it. I am unable to deliver a book report since I was either busy with my girls or too drunk to see straight. So I’m sure you’ll all understand….

Finally, a bright spot in all this fiasco. Most excellent.

Good for you tip. Sorry about your liver, at least the rest of you got to relax. I’ve never been on a cruise ship. I have this image of midwesterners with fanny packs.
One thing that has always had my interest about going on a cruise would be to whack golf balls out over the ocean. I guess they don’t allow that anymore.
As long as I can whack a bucket of range balls off the penthouse balcony into the slums across the highway, why go on a cruise?
You do too owe us a book report!

A Russian cruise ship would be cool. My god. They would let you do anything.
