i for one am proud to say that never even once have i played soccer. except for the 1 time that some of my gay friends talked me into it when i was 15. but it was just that once, so it dosen’t count.

Baseball is perfect for that purpose. The crowd noise, the announcer’s voice… I fall asleep on the first pitch. How can anyone watch a game all the way through? Last time I watched a whole game was game 7, 86 World Series, Mets vs. Red Sox. I still remember the mob of players jumping on the closer Jesse Orosco at the end. Baseball has been going downhill ever since.

This week a hummingbird was netted and captured in Alaska. It had a band on its leg. It had been banded by a biologist in north Florida in mid January, just five months ago. You have to admit thats amazing.
